Private Farm Tour

Service Description

A private tour of Charming Hill Farm is a wonderful way to get up close and personal with all the animals at the farm. The experience includes an hour of goat cuddling and then a tour around the farm to spend time with Oscar the pony, a visit to the “bunny barn,” and a visit to Farmer Matt’s private aviary full of exotic ducks, peacocks, and other interesting birds. This tour requires a lot of walking on uneven ground with hills. Guests with mobility issues or are timid around animals should not book this experience. Children are welcome as long as they are well behaved and can stay close to an adult. Important Information: 1.) LOCATION: The day before your arrival you will receive an email with complete information for your visit. This includes our new address in Amissville. Please check your spam if it does not show up in your in-box. DO NOT visit the old location in Brandy Station. The GPS pin is not accurate and will likely not bring you to our address. Be aware there is no internet or cell service at the farm. 2.) VISITATION: Please DO NOT show up at the farm without a reservation or with unregistered members of your party. Visitation is done strictly by appointment only. EVERY person (one and older) entering the property needs a reservation, children under one year old are free. NO EXCEPTIONS. All children under the age of fourteen must be accompanied by an adult. 3.) WHEN YOU ARRIVE: If you booked an appointment, we know you are arriving. Please STAY IN YOUR CAR and we will come and get you. Please remember this is a working farm complete with livestock guardian dogs that will not appreciate your presence without our supervision. Parking is very limited so groups should come in as few cars as possible. 4.) YOUR DRESS: Please remember you are coming to a real farm. While we try to keep it as clean as possible, there is mud and poop! We recommend no open toe shoes or nice clothing. You may wish to bring a change of clothes and shoes.

Cancellation Policy

We do not offer refunds due to cancelation, but are happy to reschedule your visit when contacted in advance. Please contact us at least 24hrs in advance of your previously scheduled visit. We allow for a 15 minute grace period, but if a customer has not shown up within 15 minutes of their scheduled appointment we will consider their booking cancelled.
