Service Description
Charming Hill Farm specializes in goat cuddling experiences. The cost is $15 per person per hour paid in advance (No charge for infants up to one year). We have goats young and old that are super people friendly and can give your kids an unforgettable experience. You can book directly on this website for weekend visits or IF YOU WOULD LIKE A WEEKDAY APPOINTMENT: please email us at charminghillfarm@gmail.com with number of people in party, date and time. Important Information: 1.) LOCATION: The day before your arrival you will receive an email with complete information for your visit. This includes our new address in Amissville. Please check your spam if it does not show up in your in-box. The GPS pin is not accurate and will likely not bring you to our address. Be aware there is no internet or cell service at the farm. We have no public toilet. 2.) VISITATION: Please DO NOT show up at the farm without a reservation or with unregistered members of your party. Visitation is done strictly by appointment only. EVERY person (one and older) entering the property needs a reservation, children under one year old are free. NO EXCEPTIONS. This is an insurance liability issue so please respect it. All children under the age of fourteen must be accompanied by an adult. 3.) WHEN YOU ARRIVE: If you booked an appointment, we know you are arriving. Please STAY IN YOUR CAR and we will come and get you. Please remember this is a working farm complete with livestock guardian dogs that will not appreciate your presence without our supervision. Parking is very limited so groups should come in as few cars as possible. 4.) YOUR DRESS: Please remember you are coming to a real farm. While we try to keep it as clean as possible, there is mud and poop! We recommend no open toe shoes or nice clothing. You may wish to bring a change of clothes and shoes.
Cancellation Policy
We do not offer refunds due to cancelation, but are happy to reschedule your visit when contacted in advance. Please contact us at least 24hrs in advance of your previously scheduled visit. Dogs are not allowed on the property even if they stay in your car. We have guard dogs on the farm and they will not tolerate other dogs. We are not responsible for damage to your car or injury to your dog if you bring a pet on to the farm grounds. For liability reasons, every person entering the farm property must have a pre-purchased reservation. This includes those waiting in the car. DO NOT SHOW UP TO THE FARM WITHOUT A PREPAID RESERVATION. YOU WILL NOT BE ADMITTED. No one under the age of 15 is allowed to visit the farm without adult supervision. Please do not purchase a reservation for your child and think you can wait in the car. Per rule above, everyone visiting the farm must have a pre-paid reservation even if you wait in the car. We will not baby sit your child during their experience. We allow for a 15 minute grace period, but if a customer has not shown up within 15 minutes of their scheduled appointment we will consider their booking cancelled.
